'Not going to change': Gary Lineker has spotted a problem with one Arsenal player after 1-1 Brighton draw

Following Arsenal's frustrating draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, many of the club's supporters are crying out for Mikel Arteta to attack the January transfer window.
For a brief moment, it seemed as if Arsenal had found their Bukayo Saka replacement in the form of 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri.
With Nwaneri on the pitch against Brighton, there was plenty of reason for optimism.
However, Nwaneri picked up an injury and now Arsenal only have three or four first team forwards available during a busy and crucial period for the club.
One of those is Gabriel Jesus, a much maligned striker who has recently inspired a surprise turnaround, scoring six goals in five games.
However, many still aren't convinced about the Brazilian's long-term suitability at Arsenal.
Gary Lineker shares important advice for Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal
Speaking on 'The Rest is Football' podcast, Gary Lineker discussed Jesus' efforts against Brighton, stating the advice he would give to the striker.
The pundit ultimately concluded that the 27-year-old was unlikely to change at this stage of his career, perhaps explaining why he's not best suited to Arteta's brand of football.
Lineker said: "We were talking about Jesus yesterday, weren’t we?
"I mean, he’s honest and he runs and he runs, and he’s got a one in three goal scoring record, which he had a similar thing at Manchester City as well. I think he’s almost two game.
"I mean, he runs everywhere. He runs deep, he goes back deep to try and get the ball. I think if with a bit of centre forward style coaching and just say to him, stay in the middle, stay up the top.
"Don’t come deep all the time. We need you in the box, but he’s probably one of those players that he’s not going to change now."
Mikel Arteta was angry with Gabriel Jesus during Brighton draw
Interestingly, Arteta lost his temper with Jesus during the 1-1 draw with Brighton, a fractious game that didn't inspire too much confidence that Arsenal would catch Liverpool in the title race.
Although, Arne Slot's side are conceding chances at an increasing rate, which may still offer some reason for optimism.
However, Arteta's focus will now predominantly be on cup competitions over the next week, with both Newcastle United and Manchester United hoping to prevent Arsenal's chances of lifting each respective trophy.
In terms of players who could come in to help the Gunners right now, Troy Deeney has suggested a striker to Arsenal, a signing that would be very popular in north London.
However, it remains to be seen how feasible it will be to bring in a top level player in the middle of the season.
