Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign Liverpool’s Wataru Endo in the summer window.
That’s according to Bild, and they cover the German club’s interest in the midfielder.
Endo joined Liverpool from VfB Stuttgart in August 2023 and was a regular under Jürgen Klopp last season.
He lost prominence under Arne slot this season and has been limited to 137 minutes from 14 Premier League games. Endo has played 742 minutes from 26 games in all competitions for the Reds this season.
This saw reports linking the Japan international with a move away from Anfield in the winter market, but Liverpool were reluctant to let him leave.
Bild suggest the 32-year-old’s situation could be different in the next window. His profile, experience and leadership skills make him an attractive option for the Bundesliga club.
The report adds Eintracht Frankfurt could only sign him if they qualify for the Champions League and Endo takes a pay cut, which is ‘not out of the question’.
Eintracht Frankfurt are fourth in the league table, three points ahead of fifth placed RB Leipzig. If they were to go ahead with this transfer, then Mahmoud Dahoud is most likely to leave.
