Arsenal are going through a real rough patch at the moment.

The Gunners are three without a win in the Premier League, and they lost in the Champions League to Inter Milan on Wednesday evening too.

Something has to change at Arsenal, and now, one of the Gunners' players has publicly stated that he wants to be playing more.

Indeed, while Gabriel Jesus has been criticised for his performances this season, the striker has now publicly stated that he wants to be playing more when speaking to TNT Sports Brasil.

The £45m forward says that he's not happy with his situation right now and he's determined to get more chances by working hard and proving his ability.

Gabriel Jesus wants to play more

Jesus spoke about his lack of minutes after the Inter game.

The striker says that he wants to play more, and while he won't cause any problems about his lack of minutes, he's not particularly pleased with how things are going at Arsenal.

"How are you feeling?" Jesus was asked.

"Good, I believe that not only me but every player in the Premier League wants to have more minutes. I will obviously never cause anything within the club. I will try to demonstrate it on a daily basis in training and when I enter the games I will have my opportunity to do my thing and things will happen. I have always made it very clear that I want to improve and do the best I can at Arsenal," Jesus said.

"Obviously my moment is not the best, it's not the moment I wanted, but I'm working, trying to do my best and I'll start to have more minutes but that's a consequence of my training and it's a consequence of the way I enter. I believe in my potential and I also know that to fight for a position at Arsenal is big but I believe I can help a lot."

Gabriel Jesus stats this season

Jesus says he wants to play more, but if he's going to get more minutes, he really needs to step things up.

The striker really isn't firing this season, and the stats show that he simply hasn't been good enough.

Gabriel Jesus stats this season
Games14
Goals1
Assists1

Jesus has just one goal and one assist this season, and both of those goal contributions came against weaker opposition in the League Cup.

Ian Wright recently urged fans to stick with Jesus, but it's becoming harder and harder to justify wanting the Brazilian in the Arsenal starting XI.

Of course, a player's form can flip overnight if they discover their confidence and find their scoring touch, but it has been quite some time since Jesus has been performing at the standard required of an Arsenal striker.

Fingers crossed Jesus can get back to his best, because Arsenal need an added dynamic if they're going to re-ignite their title challenge under Mikel Arteta.
