"Not yet" – Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler hasn't contacted ex player, just happy for current success

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Fabian Hürzeler has insisted they've not made overtures to Eintracht Frankfurt's Omar Marmoush yet, despite him believing he could take the Premier League by storm.
BILD cover comments from the Brighton boss today made on their Phrasenmäher podcast, during which Marmoush's current rise was brought up.
The Egyptian is currently one of the rising stars of European football, with 14 assists and 10 goals in 17 games so far this season adding to the 17 goals and six assists he managed in 41 games last season.
He's regularly being linked with a move to the Premier League at this moment in time, with Liverpool believed to be leading the race to sign him, potentially as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Hürzeler knows the player well as he worked with the Eintracht player earlier in his career when he spent a season on loan at St. Pauli in the 2021/22 season.
He only scored seven goals in 21 games for the club that year and Hürzeler is now delighted to see him flourishing. That, though, doesn't mean he's been in touch about a potential move to Brighton.
“He is currently one of the best Bundesliga players. If he continues like this, he can also cause a stir in the Premier League," he said.
“Being in a personal duel with Omar is not nice for the defenders. We saw that clearly against Bayern. How he prevailed against defensive edges like Kim or Upamecano.
"Not yet," he added when asked if the forward had been 'hunted' by Brighton's well known and powerful data scouting system.
"I'm particularly happy for him that he's now had this success. Because he worked incredibly hard for it."
