Nottingham Forest mock Wolves in Morgan Gibbs-White message

Nottingham Forest have seemingly poked fun at Wolves with an image of Morgan Gibbs-White following their 3-0 Premier League win on Monday (January 6).

The 24-year-old was awarded the Player of the Match award as Nottingham Forest continued their march towards Champions League qualification.

Gibbs-White opened the scoring against his former club after just seven minutes, capping off a lovely one-two with winger Anthony Elanga.

Chris Wood finally doubled their lead in the 44th-minute, making to 2-0 going into half-time before making way in the 89th.

The attacking midfielder has been key for Forest so far this season, starting all 16 of his games across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing three assists in his 1263 minutes of action.

The club’s official account took to Instagram to share an image of Gibbs-White holding his Player of the Match award, seemingly poking fun at Wolves with the placement.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been a surprise package so far this season, sitting in third, just six points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Forest will face Championship side Luton Town in their first FA Cup game of the season on Saturday (January 11) as they seek to progress.
