Sean Dyche is not expected to be dismissed immediately after The Friedkin Group’s takeover of Everton, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the decision could take time for the owners, meaning the current boss is expected to remain in charge for the January transfer window.
Friedkin are still expected to take control at Everton before the turn of the year, and are expected to back Dyche in the window to help strengthen his squad.
The Toffees’ recruitment team are set to prioritise moves for a new forward in January to add firepower to their attack given their issues in front of goal this season.
Friedkin’s takeover is expected to add much-needed funds to the club’s January transfer kitty, and they are preparing to provide the funds to add new quality to the squad.

Dyche had come under pressure from the stands at Goodison Park as a result of an inconsistent start to the season, which has the club sitting 15th in the Premier League.
Football Insider exclusively revealed in October that the new owners are keen to appoint their own man as they do not feel Dyche is the right man to lead them out at their new stadium next year.
As a result, they are said to have considered a number of managerial candidates, but are not expected to rush into a change immediately.
David Moyes is one of a number of managers to have been linked with the job on Merseyside as speculation about the boss’ future continues to swirl.
Football Insider was told by sources close to Moyes that the boss would be keen on a return to Goodison Park should Dyche lose his job.
Their lack of goalscoring threat in attacking areas had been a key issue for Dyche amid sack pressure, but with the backing of the new owners, that concern is set to be addressed in January.
In other news, Reece Welch could have his loan spell terminated this week.
