Sevilla are one of the clubs to have been credited with interest in signing Rangers star Hamza Igamane.
On Thursday, Vamos Mi Sevilla FC stated the La Liga club are preparing an initial offer of €10m for the striker. They also said Sevilla are concerned their proposal could fall short.
The Spanish club’s concern over the Rangers player’s asking price seems to be genuine if Africa Foot is to be believed.
They point out the €10m fee Sevilla are planning to propose for the Moroccan. Africa Foot then state this figure is ‘far from’ the fee needed to convince Rangers to sanction a move.
According to the report, the Scottish club are demanding €24m to transfer Igamane in the next window.
Last weekend, Africa Foot initially reported Sevilla’s desire to try and sign the 23-year-old. Since then, there’s been various claims in the UK and Spain about their interest.
Igamane arrived at Ibrox from Moroccan side AS FAR last summer and managed 13 goals and three assists from 36 games for Rangers. His performances have helped him receive a call up from Morocco for March’s international break.
The Rangers officials are hoping for the attacker to make debut for his country so that his valuation can increase further ahead of the summer window.
Igamane’s €24m price tag could be beyond Sevilla’s reach, and it would rise further if he were to shine for club and country in the coming months.
