'Open to selling': Director hands Arsenal and Liverpool a boost for £50m star, can be 'better' than Salah

With Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool already interested, the suggestion that one of Europe’s most in-form forwards could be sold in 2025 will not go unnoticed.
And it has become something of an annual tradition at the Commerzbank Arena.
Every year, one hitherto little-known player explodes at Eintracht Frankfurt, blossoming into one of the continent’s hottest prospects with a flurry of goals.
It was Luka Jovic back in 2019, earning himself a mega-money move to Real Madrid after a 27-goal breakout campaign in Germany. Andre Silva joined RB Leipzig two years later, while Randal Kolo Muani earned Frankfurt a staggering £77 million profit when putting pen to paper with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
And with TBR reporting that Arsenal and Liverpool are watching Omar Marmoush closely, history could soon be repeating itself for a profit-spinning club quite fittingly located in Germany’s financial district.
Frankfurt open door to Arsenal and Liverpool for Omar Marmoush
Frankfurt’s sporting director, Markus Krosche, is determined to retain Omar Marmoush’s services beyond January.
Sitting third after a 3-2 win at Stuttgart – Marmoush whipping in a sumptuous free-kick for the second game running – the Egypt international is the wind under the wings of The Eagles’ Champions League charge.
But come the summer of 2025, and should Frankfurt receive offers in the region of their reported £50 million asking price, then Marmoush is likely to be heading in the same direction as Jovic, Kolo Muani and co.
“Like other clubs, we have to generate transfer income,” Krosche tells Fussball News. “And if a club comes along and pays what we want, we are always open to selling a player.
“But, right now, we want to play successful football. Our goal is to keep the team together until the summer.”
That Stuttgart stunner took Marmoush’s tally to 14 goals for 2024/25 already. In fact, during only 16 appearances, the Egypt international has 24 goal contributions with one reporter suggesting that 25-year-old Marmoush is ahead of where Liverpool superstar Mo Salah was at the same age.
Marmoush ‘will be better’ than Liverpool hero Mo Salah
“Omar has a very good shooting technique,” Krosche adds, Marmoush arriving on a free transfer from Wolfsburg as recently as 2023. “That’s the result of hard training and the self-confidence you need. He’s also found a rhythm.
“He wasn’t playing regularly at Wolfsburg. Then, he came to us and played practically 90 minutes every game. That mixture of rhythm and playing time is very important.
“I have to pinch myself and say that things are going really well for Omar at the moment.”
Marmoush actually held talks with Nottingham Forest in the final few weeks of the summer window.
However, the former St Pauli and Stuttgart loanee was convinced to turn down the City Ground outfit with his scintillating form since then all-but shutting the door to all-but the most deep-pocketed clubs in England and abroad.
"Everyone here is predicting a very great future for him," Egpytian reporter Tarik Metwally tells Bild. "In my opinion, Marmoush is in a better position than Salah was at his age.
"If he continues like this, he will be better [than Salah] at some point.
"Salah was initially characterised by his speed, and then developed further. Marmoush, on the other hand, is also very fast but already has other skills. Some people in Egypt would like to see him in the Premier League, especially at one of the top clubs."
