Arne Slot has been building his all-time Champions League XI.

The Liverpool manager built his dream team made up of Champions League greats, and, as you may imagine, some of his current players made the grade.

Liverpool have played in three Champions League finals in recent years, winning one, and many of their players can be categorised as European legends.

Slot didn't have a hard time picking his team, and, in goal, he stated that Alisson Becker is the greatest Champions League goalkeeper ever.

The Dutchman was full of praise for the Brazilian, claiming that he's realised how special he is since working with him.

Arne Slot praises Alisson Becker

Slot spoke incredibly highly of his goalkeeper.

Slot has only worked with Alisson for a matter of months, but he already realises how incredible he is, stating that he has been outstanding for Liverpool for a number of years.

The Liverpool boss gushed over his goalkeeper when speaking to Amazon.

"Everybody would understand that I pick Alisson because I work with him now, but he was also really important when they won the Champions League a few years ago. Since I have worked with him, I have seen how special he is and how many important saves he has already made. He has been outstanding for Liverpool all these years. It's an easy pick for me to go for Alisson," Slot said.

When is Alisson back from injury?

Alisson is undoubtedly one of Liverpool's most important players, and, frustratingly, he's currently out of action with a hamstring problem.

So, the big question is, when will Alisson be back from injury?

Luckily, it sounds like Alisson may be back sooner rather than later.

Indeed, Arne Slot says Alisson will be back in a matter of weeks, but he's likely to miss the Reds' game against Chelsea next week.

"The latest is that we don't know but what we do know is that if a player walks off like he did, that normally means that he is not in the Brazil squad," Slot said.

"I don't expect him to be in the team in the first game we play after [the international break].

"We have to wait and see, but it is going to take a few weeks I assume for him to be back. I think it is [his hamstring]."

Luckily, Liverpool have a very solid deputy in the shape of Caoimhin Kelleher, so Alisson's absence shouldn't necessarily set Liverpool back too far as they head into a crucial part of the season.
