'Outstanding': Gabriel Agbonlahor says Liverpool have a top talent who's easily worth £500k-a-week

Liverpool have gone into the international break five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
The Reds have made the most of Manchester City and Arsenal’s downturns in form to establish a healthy lead at the summit.
Liverpool’s last match before the November break saw them run out 2-0 winners over Aston Villa at Anfield.
Darwin Nunez opened the scoring in the 20th minute of Saturday’s late kick-off before Mohamed Salah made sure of all three points on 80 minutes.
Gabriel Agbonlahor has now sung the praises of one of Liverpool’s players, saying he’d be worth a £500,000-a-week contract.

Liverpool urged to give Mohamed Salah whatever salary he demands
The player in question is Mohamed Salah, who continues to dazzle for the Anfield outfit and was on fire on Saturday night.
Agbonlahor admitted that his former side simply could not deal with the 31-year-old and urged Liverpool to give him whatever salary he wants.
"He was back to his best. What can I say? My team Aston Villa couldn't deal with him,” he told talkSPORT.
“I mean, you look at the counter-attack for the Nunez goal, that pace he has still got at his age, he is not slowing down, but it was a threat all-round.
“He was showing his strength, he was making great runs, he was putting great balls in behind for Nunez and got the assist and goal in the game.
“Even the way he took his goal, running through. Most players square that. He's so adamant he's going to score. Takes his time, little dink over the keeper.
“An outstanding performance from Mo Salah. And Liverpool have to tie him down. Whatever they want. If it's £500,000 a week, Liverpool have to give it to him because you can't replace him."
What’s the latest on Salah’s contract situation?
Salah’s contract with Liverpool runs until the end of the season, and speculation has been doing the rounds over a prospective move elsewhere for a while now.
Saudi Pro League sides want to sign Salah – having previously made a £150million bid on transfer deadline day back in September 2023.
Furthermore, Barcelona are said to be keen to sign Salah on a free transfer in 2025.
Journalist Ismael Mahmoud recently reported that the Liverpool star is set to stay at the club instead of playing for Egypt this month.
This “will be very important for the club to begin serious contract renewal negotiations”, said Mahmoud, who also claimed that “Liverpool knows Salah is asking for a new two-year contract”.
Meanwhile, The Athletic’s James Pearce thinks Salah remains content on Merseyside and has indicated his belief that a new deal could well be signed.
"All parties have remained tight-lipped over the discussions,” he wrote in The Athletic.
“It's unclear what's on the table compared to what Salah wants. His current deal is worth around £350,000 per week plus bonuses.
"If money is the overriding factor then surely the Saudi Pro League awaits. Liverpool wouldn't be able to compete with those numbers.
"But there's no indication Salah is ready to turn his back on chasing the biggest prizes as he approaches his 33rd birthday next June. His family are happy and settled in Cheshire."
