Arne Slot has taken the Premier League by storm since replacing Jurgen Klopp at the helm at Anfield.

The Dutchman has spearheaded the Reds to three wins in as many games and most recently recorded a statement 3-0 away win against Manchester United.

Liverpool blew the Red Devils out of the water at Old Trafford, with Mohamed Salah scoring in the second half after a brace from Luis Diaz.

Quite a few players like Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Salah have carried on performing the goods this season as they always have.

However, Paul Merson has singled out Ryan Gravenberch for special praise ahead of the Reds’ Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Starting each of Liverpool’s first three Premier League games as a number six, Gravenberch has delivered assured displays in the centre of the park alongside Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Merson lauded the towering Dutchman’s start to the season and believes the fact that he plays behind several gifted attackers makes his life a lot easier.

“Ryan Gravenberch has been outstanding so far this season, but he has to keep producing these performances,” Merson wrote in his column for Sportskeeda.

“When you’re a player like him, you also thrive due to the players in front of you. And he definitely has a dream front-three in front of him at Liverpool.”

Dutch legend Rafael van der Vaart lauded Gravenberch earlier this week for his energetic display against Germany, which is a sign that the midfielder is finally starting to deliver the goods consistently.

How did Gravenberch perform for Netherlands during the international break?

Gravenberch impressed in the 5-2 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it was in the 2-2 draw against Germany where he made a massive impression.

Having notched up an assist in the first half for Tijjani Reijnders, the 22-year-old imposed himself against Germany and emerged as one of the best players on the pitch.

Gravenberch earned rave reviews from the Dutch media and was hailed as a ‘revelation’ for his fantastic showings over the international break.

Signed for £34m from Bayern Munich last summer, the 22-year-old seems to be coming into his own for club and country and will look to carry on his rich vein of form well into the new season.
