25/04/2025 06:20
Pedro Neto was upbeat in his message to Chelsea teammates as they prepare to face Everton in a crucial tie.
Chelsea remain firmly in the hunt for a Champions League place and are gearing up for a significant clash with Everton on 26 April.
In their most recent outing, it looked as if defeat was on the cards against Fulham, but a dramatic turnaround in the final ten minutes saw the club come from behind, with Neto netting the decisive goal for Chelsea in a 2–1 win.
The victory was crucial for Enzo Maresca's side, who are locked in an intense race for a top-five finish alongside the likes of Manchester City, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest.
Neto remained in high spirits and shared an update for the fans and giving them an insight in training.

Pedro Neto shares light-hearted moment with Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo
Neto reposted a training picture from Romeo Lavia's Instagram story, which featured the pair alongside Moises Caicedo. The Portuguese winger added a laughing emoji and the caption "What a win…" in a tongue-in-cheek nod to the trio's energy in training.
Lavia's appearance in the session may catch the attention of fans, as many Chelsea supporters have called Lavia out for his persistent injury setbacks since joining the club.
As for Neto, his recent winner against Fulham was a much-needed moment of joy in what has been a mixed season.
Despite the positive atmosphere in the dressing room, the Neto has been under pressure due to poor output in front of goal, with just four Premier League goals and six assists to his name since his £54 million summer move last summer.
Even with fierce competition from the likes of Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho—both of whom have been linked with exits—Neto continues to be favoured by Maresca, suggesting the manager values him more when picking his front line.
Enzo Maresca faces sack threat despite European progress
Despite guiding Chelsea to the semi-finals of the Conference League and keeping them in the race for a Champions League spot, Maresca is facing mounting pressure over his future.
Frustration among the fanbase has grown due to the side's inconsistent form. Once considered genuine title contenders earlier in the season, Chelsea's stuttering league performances have raised doubts over the Italian's long-term credentials.
While European silverware would mark an achievement in his debut campaign, the club's hierarchy are expected to prioritise Champions League qualification due to the financial rewards it brings. That outcome may ultimately be the deciding factor in Maresca's fate come the summer.
