Ange Postecoglou is a very difficult manager to get a real grip on.

Some believe that Postecoglou is a phenomenal manager who is bringing an exciting style of play to Tottenham that has been missing for a long time.

Meanwhile, others believe Postecoglou's tactics are naïve and that he's too stubborn for his own good.

The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle, but speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, Sam Allardyce has pointed out another issue he has with Postecoglou.

Indeed, Big Sam says that he doesn't quite like the way Postecoglou conducts himself in interviews, claiming that he's not very good at handling the media.

Ange Postecoglou isn't good at interviews

Allardyce shared his verdict on Postecoglou's media handling style.

Postecoglou has a tendency to not look reporters in the eye when he speaks to them, and that can often come across as slightly abrasive.

"He (Postecoglou) must be totally different on the training ground than he is as an interviewee. You know, there's a certain level you have to be pretty good at, otherwise people start questioning you. He might be the best coach or manager in the world, but people will question you because his interviews are not very good," Allardyce said.

What is Ange Postecoglou really like?

This isn't the first time Postecoglou's media handling has been questioned.

Leon Osman recently called Postecoglou frosty after a recent loss to Crystal Palace, and the Australian is getting something of a reputation for being stand-offish.

However, that seemingly couldn't be any further from the truth in terms of what Postecoglou is like behind the scenes.

Indeed, Postecoglou has a great relationship with his staff.

In fact, one of the first things Postecoglou did at Spurs was to learn every staff member's name.

This is a manager who cares deeply about the people he works with and does want to bring enjoyment to his club, but, unfortunately, handling the press after a difficult game or a tough defeat is a tough task.

Postecoglou may want to slightly adapt his media handling style.
