Philippe Clement exit: Tom English issues 'insane' Rangers claim after Dundee

Tom English has issued an “insane” Rangers claim after their draw with Dundee FC in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers dropped more points, and are now 15 points behind title rivals Celtic, after their 1-1 draw at Dens Park on 9 January.
The Gers are now on 41 points after after 21 games, and have won only one of their last five games in the league, albeit in the Old Firm derby.
This has led to some fans calling for the sacking of Belgian manager Philippe Clement.
Tom English, Chief Sports Writer for BBC Scotland, took to social media to talk about rumours of Clement’s potential sacking.
English said: “In a sane world Rangers would back a manager, show strength amid fan fury and accept that their rebuild is so huge they have to forget about Celtic for a number of years while they create a vibrant young team. This is not a sane world. Panic and the 'chase' is torturing them”

It has been a difficult period for the former AS Monaco manager, his tenure started brightly and the League Cup victory over Aberdeen was a high moment for him and the club.
However, since then it has all be downhill, Rangers lost four times to Old Firm rivals Celtic last season, including in the Scottish Cup, and finished second in the league.
This season has only exacerbated the issues at the club. A 3-0 Old Firm derby win on 2 January seemed to mark a turn-around in form, but results since have dipped back to previous levels.
The Rangers job is a poisoned chalice at the moment as Celtic are back to their dominant selves and the Gers’ squad just does not seem to have the firepower to compete at the moment.
Rangers also have not been helped by the injury bug that seems to be infecting the squad as badly as ever, with Dujon Sterling is the latest Gers player to be side-lined.
