Since Samuel Iling-Junior joined Aston Villa in the summer, times haven’t been great for the Englishman.

The winger joined Bologna on loan and scored against Como early in the stint. It was thought that Iling-Junior would take his development forward from there but the opposite has happened.

The 21-year-old has played only five times in Serie A and six times in the Champions League, and is suffering from a lack of game time.

TuttoBolognaWeb have today looked at the Serie A side’s potential outgoings in January and Iling-Junior’s name finds a mention.

The outlet mentions that Aston Villa are 'worried' about the former Juventus man’s situation. They are concerned about his lack of game time and as a result are considering recalling him next month.

They would then look to loan him out elsewhere, as they want to further his development at another club.

No potential destinations find a mention, but the fact that Aston Villa are concerned suggests that they definitely see a future for Iling-Junior in the first-team and would not want his potential to be hampered.
