Real Betis midfielder Marc Roca is set to undergo a 'cycle of biological treatment with stem cells' as his career post Leeds United continues to be hampered by ankle problems.
The Spanish club's official website revealed the news on the Spanish midfielder today, explaining that he is set to undergo specialist treatment in the coming days.
Roca has issues with his left ankle, which didn’t seems to be a serious issue at Leeds United, and the plan is for him to undergo biological treatment including stem cells to try and rectify the problems.
He's been on a 'conservative' treatment plan in the last few weeks to solve the issue, but this has not eliminated the discomfort he's been feeling. Thus, Betis are now switching to an alternative plan for the former Leeds man in the hope solves matters.
The 27-year-old has been plagued by injury issues since joining Betis on a permanent basis from Leeds United in a €4.5m deal this summer.
It's mean a stop start season in which he's managed 11 appearances totalling 783 minutes to date, a far cry from the 37 appearances and 2744 minutes he managed in total last season.
Whether the problem has anything to do with the torn lateral ankle ligament injury he suffered in July 2021 isn't clear, but it seems Betis are doing everything they can to get the former Leeds man back on track.
