Player won't sign new deal with Rangers – Keen on summer exit as club circles

Earlier this month, it was reported that Rangers' Ianis Hagi was a potential January target for Genoa.
Interest from the Italian side in the Romanian is not new but a move has never materialised. It now seems as if Genoa could yet land the player, even if a January move will not be easy.
CalcioGenoa have reported that Rangers have no intention of extending 26-year-old Hagi’s contract, which runs out in the summer transfer window. Therefore, he is free to speak to clubs from this month onwards.
Genoa owner Dan Sucu, who also owns Rapid Bucharest, has been trying to sign 26-year-old for the Romanian club since last summer but nothing has materialised. He wants to bring him to the Italian side immediately to bolster their squad for the rest of the season.
Hagi apparently has other plans. It’s stated he doesn’t want to leave Rangers this month and is only interested in figuring out the next steps for his future in the summer.
The attacking midfielder has played 17 times in all competitions this season, being a used player despite the ongoing uncertainty around him.
