PRIME TV has taken the lead in a grudge match between two Wag line-ups, I can reveal.

It has agreed to a second series of Married To The Game, a fly-on-the-wall show that follows the partners of top footballers.

The news comes just days after a planned ITV show about dating players, which was to have featured Lauryn Goodman, got axed over pending legal matters.

She is the former mistress of England and Manchester City defender Kyle Walker, who is currently in action with the Three Lions at the Euros in Germany.

Lauryn, who has two children with Kyle, took their son Kairo to England's Euro 2024 game against Denmark last week.

Luckily for former Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez, the canned ITV show was also going to include his ex-wife Rita.

Prime's documentary follows Wags including infuencer Taylor Ward, Riyad's current other half, and Everton defender James Tarkowski's wife Sam.

A source said: "Ever since the fictitious Footballers' Wives, TV has been obsessed with the life of our Wags and never more so than when interest peaks around an international tournament.

"ITV weren't able to go ahead with their plans but Prime Video were more than happy to capitalise on the football fever that will follow the Euros.

"The new series will follow some of the fan favourites from series one of Married To The Game and planning is under way now.

"More details are to be revealed soon."

Other Wags involved in series one included former Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan's wife Sara, along with the wife of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner.

I can't wait for it all to kick off.

Gary: Oz work fits bill

GARY LUCY looks ready for action after slipping his police uniform on again.

But the actor who played PC Will Fletcher in The Bill is not back on the front line himself.

It is all for an advertising campaign after he headed Down Under to work with the Western Australia Police Force.

Fourteen years after his last shift in the police drama, when the action in Sun Hill ended after 26 series, Gary is now encouraging British bobbies to make the move across the globe.

He pretends to be an officer on the streets of London, whose character in the ad then moves to Perth after signing up for a new life in the sunshine.

Posting the clip to his social media, Gary said with a laugh: "New role for a new police force . . .  who fancies heading Down Under?

"I can see why this copper is tempted."

The unfortunate demise of Gordon Ramsay’s chocolate head

GORDON RAMSAY was left looking more like Art Attack character The Head after a Food Stars flop.

The TV chef and his co-star, reality TV's Lisa Vanderpump, challenged the latest round of hopefuls on the US cooking series to a chocolate test this week.

Teams had to design and advertise a new treat to go on the market, and create life-sized busts of the hosts entirely from chocolate.

Sadly for Gordon, there was little resemblance to his own profile and more to Neil Buchanan’s Nineties character made from clay.

And then it got smashed!

Perhaps you should sit for Portrait Artist Of The Year next time, Gordon.

Netflix eyes new Gadd project

BABY Reindeer creator Richard Gadd has got a major streamer on board for his new BBC drama.

The series, Lions, was unveiled in February ahead of the release of his hit Netflix drama.

HBO has signed up to back the project, which follows two men's 40-year history from friends to enemies.

Tom has an ace in his pack

TOM KERRIDGE's son Acey is showing talent in the kitchen.

But the chef, who presents BBC Two's The Hidden World Of Hospitality, is having a hard time convincing the eight-year-old to take it seriously as a career.

Tom told our TV Mag, free with the paper on Saturdays: "Acey is a big fan of food and cooking.

"He's quite high-energy and he's quite full-on, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was a chef, and I wouldn't stand in his way. It's the most amazing industry around.

"You can get to travel the world, do all sorts of different bits and bobs.

"You've just got to push on, work hard, be nice and be kind.

"He's quite keen on it, though he's keen on a lot of things.

"In his head right now he's going to be an England International rugby player."

Uncanny hit gets series 2

COMEDY writer Danny Robins has said a second series of BBC hit Uncanny is under way after it was a surprise ratings winner.

His podcast about paranormal encounters was turned into a TV show that became a runaway success for BBC Two in October.

It managed to trounce Big Brother's comeback in the ratings.

And thanks to its popularity, went on to become a sell-out stage tour.

But Danny has set his sights even higher than simply more episodes on the Beeb – he wants to take on Hollywood.

He has had talks with film bosses who saw his West End play 2:22 A Ghost Story.

Danny told me: "We'd love to do films at some point, but when it feels right.

"The second series is coming.

"We started filming this week and we're taking Uncanny in different directions.

"It is brand-new cases, we're not repeating stuff.

"I can't wait to share more with people."
