'Quality will come out' – Aston Villa star backs recent club exit to succeed after tough start

Douglas Luiz’s Aston Villa stint now seems like something which took place quite a long time ago.
That is because of how difficult his start to life at Juventus has been, with the Brazilian struggling to become a regular at the club and having given away two penalties in the last week or so.
The Brazilian gave away a penalty against Cagliari at the weekend and that came days after he did the same against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
He’s made only one start in Serie A and even during that match, he was taken off in the second half.
His former Aston Villa teammate Youri Tielemans has now come out in support of the Juve man, with the Belgian having been asked about Douglas Luiz during the Belgium press conference yesterday.
He said, as relayed by BianconeraNews: “Douglas is a very technical player, he was very important for Aston Villa.
"He achieved promotion, then decided to leave, the only thing I can say is that he is a player of great quality, he works very hard and with work the quality will come out’."
During his time at Aston Villa, Douglas Luiz played over 200 times and was a regular across all the four seasons that he spent at the club.
He is still just 26 and has plenty of time to turn things around at Juve, where he has Nicolo Fagioli, Manuel Locatelli and Khephren Thuram ahead of him in the pecking order.
Games will come thick and fast soon and that is when Douglas Luiz will have to grab his chances.
