Tottenham centre-back Radu Dragusin has shared his feelings on his international teammates away from Spurs.

Like many associated with the club, this has been a difficult season for Dragusin at times across the course of the campaign.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has faced calls to be sacked this season, although he has not been helped by a string of injury problems.

One of those has been to his Romanian international, with it being revealed last month that Dragusin will miss the rest of the season for Tottenham with an ACL injury.

Radu Dragusin links up with Romania despite injury

With the March international break now underway, Dragusin’s injury means he will not be involved for Romania as they face Bosnia & Herzegovina and San Marino in World Cup qualification.

Despite that, the centre-back looks as though he is still going to be involved with his national team over the course of the coming days.

On Thursday (20 March), the Tottenham centre-back took to his Instagram page to share a video posted by the national team of Dragusin meeting up with the rest of his national side’s squad.

The defender then added to that video with a caption that translates to “Squad/Family”, while also including a Romanian flag and loveheart emoji, highlighting his passion for his national team.

Tottenham man to benefit from Romania reunion amid injury blow

Football Insider Verdict

With the exception of their run to the quarter finals of the Europa League, it feels as though nothing has gone right for Spurs so far this season.

Indeed, even Ian Wright has taken aim at Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy in recent months, which is a damning reflection on the situation at the club.

Being around that all the time is unlikely to help morale, especially for someone such as Dragusin whose injury means he is currently unable to do anything to improve the situation.

So this change of scenery and environment could be good for the centre-back as it gives him the chance to be in a positive environment given Romania should be confident of some positive results this week.

Indeed, that may be useful in terms of giving the Tottenham centre-back the confidence and motivation he needs to push on further with his recovery as he aims to return for Ange Postecoglou‘s side.
