'Raising noises': Liverpool are sounding more and more likely to go for £16m player – journalist

Liverpool are yet to make a move in the January transfer window, but that could be about to change.
Liverpool are a team that can often keep their powder dry in January, but the Reds aren't afraid to make a move if the right opportunity presents itself.

The Reds have pounced on market opportunities in January in the past, and, speaking on Market Madness, Dean Jones has claimed that he's heard growing noises around Liverpool potentially making a move for Milos Kerkez.
Kerkez has been linked to Liverpool recently, while some reports suggest Kerkez wants to join Liverpool.
Jamie Carragher wants a new left-back signed up at Liverpool, and, he could soon get his wish.
Liverpool sounding more likely to sign Milos Kerkez
Jones shared what he knows about Kerkez and Liverpool.
The journalist says that there are increasing whispers that Liverpool could go for the £16m man. However, importantly, he does note that Bournemouth don't want to sell.
"There are some whispers at the moment around key players like Kerkez, Zabarnyi, Semenyo and the manager.
"The whispers around Kerkez have mostly been about Man Utd recently, but there is raising noise I would say around the Liverpool move. United did touch base through intermediaries, but they didn't get any joy out of it.
"The stance at Bournemouth is that this player is not available, so let's see if they can stick to that."
Which other left-backs do Liverpool like?
Liverpool could make a move for Kerkez, but he's not the only left-back on Liverpool's radar at the moment.
Indeed, Liverpool have been linked with a number of different options in that position.
Antonee Robinson is on Liverpool's radar after an impressive campaign with Fulham, while Miguel Gutierrez has been linked to Liverpool too.
The Reds may be top of the Premier League and top of the Champions League, but they do have some work to do in terms of bolstering their sad.
Andy Robertson has been heavily criticised for his performances this season, and while Robertson has been a great servant for Liverpool, it may be time for the Reds to sign a replacement for the 30-year-old at this point.
Kerkez to Liverpool is one to keep an eye on over the next week, but, as Jones says, this is a deal that may be difficult to do as Bournemouth are on the verge of doing something special this season.
