Arsenal will look to continue on their great run of form when they host Premier League strugglers Southampton on Saturday.

The Gunners remain unbeaten this season and have also won their last three games in a row in all competitions.

Arsenal will be up against a Southampton side that is yet to win in the league this season and only has one point to their name.

However, the Saints have wins on board in the Carabao Cup, having beaten Cardiff City in the second round before overcoming Everton on penalties in the third round.

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has now given his score prediction for the Arsenal v Southampton game and backed one player to get on the scoresheet on the day.

Ray Parlour backs Kai Havertz to score in Arsenal win over Southampton

Parlour believes the Gunners will record a routine 2-0 win over Russell Martin’s charges and backed Kai Havertz to get another goal on board.

The £65million man has netted in each of his last six games at Emirates Stadium in all competitions, taking his tally to five in 2024/25.

"Southampton are struggling at the moment, but, look, I think Saints fans are realistic,” Parlour said on talkSPORT (4/20/2024, 7:41am).

“It's going to be a tough, long hard season for them. They have just got to try to get points at home. Away from home, if they can nick a point, then great.

“Leicester did really well against Arsenal last weekend, I know they lost 4-2, but they got back into the game, they scored two, but I just can't see past an Arsenal win.

“They are playing well at the moment, very good defensive unit. I have got them down in my predictions 2-0, so I am going to stick with that.

“I will go Havertz (to score), who is in great form at the moment. I think it's five in five for him or six in six for him at home.

“He is in good form at the Emirates, so I am going to go Havertz.”
