Images taken by road users quickly circulated on social media, showing the Madrid team bus to be one of the vehicles involved in the pile-up.

It is not clear whether any passengers were on board and talkSPORT has contacted Warwickshire Police for further details.

Madrid had lost 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Warwickshire is more than 100 miles south of where the match took place.
