Reece James reacts to Filip Jorgensen's message after Chelsea axe

Filip Jorgensen remained upbeat on social media despite his recent exclusion from the first-team at Chelsea.
The goalkeeper was left out of Denmark's Nations League defeat to Portugal, with Kasper Schmeichel preferred between the sticks.
His international situation mirrors his club struggles, as Jorgensen was dropped in favour of Robert Sanchez for Chelsea's clash against Arsenal before the international break.
Sanchez had initially been axed from Enzo Maresca's starting XI after a series of costly mistakes saw him benched for four consecutive Premier League matches.
However, despite continued errors, the Spaniard has regained his place. Chelsea fans have called for Sanchez to be sold due to the constant mistakes, but he retains the backing of his manager much to the frustration of supporters.
Even with these setbacks, Jorgensen appeared determined in his latest update, as he looks ahead to Chelsea's return to action next week.
Djordje Petrovic could challenge Jorgensen and Sanchez for Chelsea's number-one spot
Jorgensen remained upbeat despite being dropped from Chelsea's starting lineup, sharing a message with fans: "Back in London" alongside a blue heart emoji.
His post received plenty of reactions from teammates, with Marc Guiu commenting with heart emojis, while Christopher Nkunku, Marc Cucurella, and Reece James left likes.
Despite Jorgensen's axe from the first-team, he has played 18 games this season, whilst picking up seven clean sheets in 1,620 minutes.
There were calls for Jorgensen to start for Chelsea earlier in the season after impressing in the Conference League. Despite those calls being answered it seems as if Maresca wasn't impressed after his run of games in the first-team.
Chelsea fans are now urging for Djordje Petrovic to start when he returns to the club this summer, after impressing on loan to Strasbourg.
But with Jorgensen only signing last summer, Chelsea's goalkeeping situation remains uncertain heading into next season.
Season statistics | Robert Sanchez | Filip Jorgensen |
Appearances | 25 | 18 |
Goals conceded | 31 | 18 |
Clean sheets | 5 | 7 |
Reece James shines for England ahead of Chelsea return
While Jorgensen had a quiet international break, the same couldn't be said for Chelsea captain James.
James delivered a standout performance for England in their 3-0 win over Latvia, scoring a stunning free-kick to open the scoring.
With international duty now over, Chelsea shift their focus back to domestic action, preparing for a crucial clash against Tottenham on 3 April as they push for a Champions League spot. Jorgensen will be hoping to reclaim his place in the starting lineup before the season ends.
