Reece James sends three-word Chelsea message after latest
Today at 09:21 AM
Reece James has sent Chelsea fans a message after starting his first Premier League fixture since November following injury.
The England international was selected by Enzo Maresca from the first against Wolves on Monday (20 January) which was only fourth time that has happened this season, and the first since their 3 November fixture against Man United.
James played for 77 minutes as the Blues ended their five-match run without a win in the Premier League by defeating the Midlands giants 3-1.
It was the second game in a row that the right-back was able to feature in after he came off the bench against Bournemouth to score a late equaliser.
Chelsea fans and James himself will be hoping that is now the end of his difficult injury run that has impacted him for the past two seasons.
Reece James has thanked the Chelsea fans
James has missed 18 games in all competitions this season due to hamstring problems, which was something that also impacted him during the 2023-24 campaign.
It has been a source of frustration and has left the Blues without their club captain for lengthy periods of time.
The Chelsea faithful have stuck by James during that time though, and he took to Instagram to send them a message by saying, "Thanks for the support."
Maresca should have the right back available once again on Saturday (25 January) as his team prepares to return to action as they face Man City in the Premier League.
It promises to be a crucial match in the face for Champions League football as they are only separated by two points.
