Report: Arsenal have now decided they will try and sign £54m striker if Benjamin Sesko snubs them again

Arsenal are expected to be on the market for a new striker in 2025.
The Gunners have a fantastic squad. Mikel Arteta has built a team capable of beating any side in the world, but many feel they are still missing one player – a prolific striker.
A centre-forward who would guarantee 25 or 30 goals a season would take Arsenal to a whole new level – they could even become the favourites to win the Premier League.
A number of strikers have been linked with a move to the Emirates. Benjamin Sesko is one of them, but he is not the only target for Arteta.
Arsenal will try to sign Viktor Gyokeres if they can’t get Benjamin Sesko again
Sesko was Arsenal’s top target in last summer’s transfer window.
The Gunners were among a number of clubs chasing his signature, and it really did look like they could lure him into the Emirates.
However, after a lot of speculation, Sesko rejected Arsenal and other interested clubs and signed a new contract at RB Leipzig.
TBR Football exclusively revealed in October that Arsenal are still interested in signing Sesko in one of the two transfer windows in 2025.
Now, Football Transfers back that claim and have named the Leipzig star as ‘Arteta’s priority centre-forward target’ next year.
However, if the Gunners fail to land Sesko again, the report claims that they will ‘shift their focus entirely’ to Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres.
It has further been claimed that Arsenal ‘remain in negotiations’ with Gyokeres, who wants to leave Sporting for a bigger club in 2025.
How much will Gyokeres and Sesko cost Arsenal in 2025?
Sesko and Gyokeres are both up there with the best strikers in Europe right now.
The Leipzig star, still only 21, has scored 11 goals and provided three assists this season. Gyokeres, on the other hand, has scored 27 goals and provided five assists for Sporting.
Football Transfers claim that the Portuguese giants are prepared to sell their star striker for just €65 million (£54m) next summer.
Sesko, on the other hand, will be slightly more expensive. BILD reported after he signed his new Leipzig contract that the Slovenia international will cost €75 million (£62.25m) in 2025.
It remains to be seen who Arsenal can get next year.
