All seems well at Arsenal after the Gunners extended their unbeaten start to the 2024/25 Premier League campaign on Saturday.

Goals from Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka secured all three points for Arsenal after Southampton took a surprise lead through Cameron Archer, with the victory leaving Mikel Arteta‘s side third in the Premier League.

It comes after the Gunners also recorded an impressive 2-0 win over PSG in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, with Havertz and Saka again on the scoresheet.

However, something that happened after that victory at the Emirates Stadium is now being investigated by Arsenal.

Arsenal investigate Conor McGregor interaction with Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice

A story from The Times now states that Arsenal have launched an internal club review to explore how Conor McGregor ended up on the pitch after the 2-0 win over PSG.

Sources close to Arsenal say that the UFC star was asked to go back inside the Emirates Stadium – where he was a guest of a company named 1 Access – and was not given permission to enter the field of play.

Furthermore, Arsenal are concerned that McGregor was able to get close enough to Saka to even practice some of his moves on the England international, which led him to say “be careful” to the Irishman.

The Times believe Arsenal are now reviewing the process which enables celebrity guests to mingle with players after games, while also distancing themselves from the 36-year-old fighter, after being left embarrassed by the entire situation.

It is said that the Spaniard was worried to see McGregor practising his moves on Saka – who Frank Lampard hailed on Tuesday – especially a moment where the man from Dublin looked like he was about to throw the Arsenal No.7 to the ground.

Fortunately, neither Saka or Rice were injured during their kick about and sparring with McGregor, although you can understand why the Gunners are keen to ensure this does not happen again.
