Arsenal have enjoyed a bright season so far and, with Martin Odegaard now back in the fold, their form has improved massively.
The January transfer window is now on the horizon and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will have the chance to strengthen his ranks.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of players ahead of the January window, including Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.
Now, the Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel has reported what the Eagles have now realised amid links between Wharton and the likes of Arsenal.

Arsenal target Adam Wharton backed to leave Crystal Palace by 2026
Mokbel, writing in the Daily Mail, says there is a realisation at Palace that Wharton will leave for a top club if his career trajectory continues to soar.
The report claimed that the Eagles reckon the England international could be on the move in one of the next four transfer windows.
However, Mokbel admitted that it remains to be seen whether Palace would consider selling Wharton in the January window, considering they’re fighting relegation.
The report claims Manchester City have stepped up their efforts to sign a new midfielder in wake of Rodri’s season-ending injury, and Wharton is in their sights.
Meanwhile, CaughtOffside have reported that Arsenal have already held some talks over potentially signing the Premier League prodigy.
Why Wharton would be a ‘dream’ alongside Bukayo Saka
Paul Merson sung Wharton’s praises ahead of Euro 2024 as Wharton made the England squad for the competition.
The Highbury legend said Wharton would be a “dream” alongside Bukayo Saka and other Three Lions attackers because of his deliveries.
"I'm a massive fan of Wharton," said Merson. "He's an exceptional talent and I'm not shocked Southgate has included him.
"He gets the ball, and he gives it. He sees a pass and sees it very quickly. He never really gets caught on the ball.
"He's a dream for the likes of Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham and (Eberechi) Eze. He'll get the ball and give it to them with the minimum of fuss.
"He reminds me of a young Gareth Barry. He plays the simple pass that a lot of players don't play.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he played with Declan Rice and Bellingham in England's midfield with Foden, Saka and Kane as the front three."
