A West Ham player is attracting interest from the continent this summer transfer window, according to a recent report.

Julen Lopetegui is continuing his squad reshuffle since being appointed as David Moyes’ successor with a number of players mooted with a summer exit.

Flynn Downes is being heavily linked to Southampton whilst Nayef Aguerd, Michail Antonio and others remain on the shortlist of other clubs.

Now, a fresh rumour has emerged again linking a Hammers player away from the London Stadium.

Galatasaray want Vladimir Coufal

According to Aspor, Turkish giants Galatasaray have made the right-back position a priority area to strengthen and West Ham’sVladimir Coufal is on their shortlist.

Serge Aurier is set to depart the club this summer, so they’re in the market for a replacement and are hoping to land Coufal’s signature for a discounted price.

The 31-year-old, who is one of Moyes’ best Hammers signings as per Medium, is out of contract next summer, so now is the final chance for West Ham to cash in on him before losing him on a free transfer.

As such, his price tag is expected to be well below his true market value, which Galatasaray are keen to take advantage of.

Nothing will happen until after Euro 2024

Coufal is currently away with Czechia at the European Championships in Germany and has played every minute.

Though, after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Turkey on Wednesday evening, his nation were knocked out of the competition.

That is expected to accelerate Galatasaray’s interest, who were waiting to make an approach until after the tournament, seemingly out of respect to not distract him.

Now, this deal could move very quickly over the coming week or two.
