Everton have had to operate on a limited budget over the last few years.

Everton have been up against FFP constraints but the expected takeover of the Freidkin Group is set to move the club back in the right direction.

Dan Friedkin is expected to takeover Everton before the end of the year, so Sean Dyche will have a bigger budget than usual in the January transfer window.

With that said, it’s just come to light that The Toffees are keeping tabs on an attacker in Italy.

Everton interested in Samuel Chukwueze

According to Wednesday’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (16/10/2024), Everton are showing an interest in AC Milan wide player Samuel Chukwueze ahead of the winter window.

Dyche is eager to bolster his attacking ranks and Chukwueze’s profile has caught the eye of the recruitment team.

Milan are looking at moving the Nigeria international on in January and would consider offers in the region of £11m.

Everton came close to signing Chukwueze in 2022, so personal terms aren’t thought to be an issue – should indeed a deal be struck between the two clubs.

Chukwueze models his game on Arjen Robben

Speaking to GOAL in 2019, Chukwueze revealed that he models his game on Bayern Munich legend Arjen Robben.

"He's the king, to me," the Nigerian said when asked about Robben.

"He's the perfect player. I watch so many YouTube clips of him, and there are so many things I can learn from watching him.

"On the way to games, even now, I will still stick on clips of Robben and watch his goals, his dribbling. He's my inspiration, one of the greatest.

"I like to be me, and of course you have to be yourself, but you need to learn from people like him. What a player!"

If Chukwueze is able to replicate even half the career Robben had, it would certainly be a game-changing signing for Everton.
