Report: How Arne Slot really feels about keeping Federico Chiesa at Liverpool this summer

Amid several possible exits at Liverpool this summer, Federico Chiesa's future has become a hot topic.
Chiesa only arrived from Serie A last summer but opportunities have been hard to come by for the winger at Liverpool, who has the enviable task of being understudy to Mohamed Salah.
The Italian has made only 11 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season amassing a total of 387 minutes.
Of course, given the goal Chiesa scored at Wembley against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final, many fans on Merseyside do want the winger to be given a consistent chance before the season ends.
However, it seems as if Arne Slot's mind might already be made up.
Arne Slot doesn’t want Federico Chiesa as his Mohamed Salah replacement
According to Give Me Sport, Slot is not interested in making Chiesa his first choice right winger this summer if Salah does decide to leave once his contract expires.
Salah is yet to decide his Liverpool future but regardless of what happens, Slot is prepared to lose Chiesa this summer according to the report.
Of course, Luis Diaz's situation is becoming tense at Liverpool too – the winger wants a new contract but his demands have taken a back seat during the club's negotiations with Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Moreover, given that Alexander-Arnold is Real Madrid bound, it promises to be a busy summer at Anfield for Richard Hughes and his team.
And provided that Liverpool are able to find a buyer for Chiesa, it's expected that the winger will make a swift return to Italy.
Liverpool could revive their Anthony Gordon interest
Slot is trying to convince Jeremie Frimpong to join Liverpool according to reports, something that will help with the club's right-back conundrum at least.
But in terms of who might come in for Chiesa should he depart – that is seemingly yet to be decided.
Liverpool are perhaps still not one hundred percent certain if they'll need to replace Salah at Anfield too, even if he and Van Dijk do seem more likely to stay than leave as things stand.
Perhaps Liverpool could revive their Anthony Gordon interest even if Salah stays.
Curtis Jones called Gordon underrated recently, an England teammate he'd surely love to link up with on Merseyside.
Evidently there's a lot of moving pieces for Slot and Liverpool's transfer team this summer, and perhaps Chiesa's own move will indeed be heading back to Italy.
