Report: Juventus have already made move to sign 'unbelievable' Arsenal player on loan this summer

Juventus have already made a move to sign one Arsenal player during the summer transfer window, with the Old Lady eyeing a loan deal.

Of course, much of the talk surrounding Arsenal right now concerns the pursuit of Riccardo Calafiori, with the Gunners seemingly winning the race to sign the Italy international from Bologna.

Calafiori is reportedly interested in joining Arsenal, while Arsenal have offered to double the wages of the 22-year-old, who was really a standout for his country during their underwhelming run to the last 16 of Euro 2024.

Should Arsenal manage to sign Calafiori, it is hard to imagine that at least one of the club’s current defenders will not be on the move, particularly when you consider how many of Mikel Arteta’s side can play at both centre-back and left-back.

Juventus approach Arsenal about loan deal

One of those is Jakub Kiwior, who has never quite been able to show his best form in North London. Should Calafiori arrive, he will surely have questions about his future, particularly as he is attracting interest.

It is no surprise that Juventus want Kiwior, with Thiago Motta working with the Poland international at Spezia. And according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has already made contact about a potential loan move with the club preparing to miss out on Calafiori.

Why loaning Jakub Kiwior out may be smart move from Gunners

It is not clear whether Arsenal would be willing to loan Kiwior out, and much may depend on how much they have to spend in this window, as they may feel that it is imperative that they bring in fees for their players this summer.

Having said that, a loan for Kiwior may make a lot of sense given how little he has played for Arsenal since his arrival 18 months ago, particularly with a prestigious club like Juventus trying to secure his signature.

Perhaps Arsenal could demand much more in a year if the ‘unbelievable‘ Kiwior goes to Turin and has a really impressive loan spell.
