Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to conclude a deal for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani before the end of January.

Tottenham's Premier League efforts have been disappointing to date, and Ange Postecoglou is eyeing a mid-season boost in the form of Kolo Muani.

PSG signed the France international for huge money from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023, but the striker hasn't quite received the minutes he may have hoped for.

Now, Spurs can offer a route out for Kolo Muani, who is also high on Juventus' shortlist.

Tottenham held talks for Kolo Muani earlier this month, and they've now received a boost in their hopes of signing the striker, given Juventus' financial constraints.

Juventus can’t afford Randal Kolo Muani and Tottenham are still ‘active’

Tottenham learned Kolo Muani's price-tag recently, the striker is available for loan but any deal will need to contain a hefty fee on an obligation-to-buy basis.

Now, French outlet L'Equipe are reporting that Juventus' efforts could fall down because they are unable to match Kolo Muani's wages and the obligation fee needed.

The Italian side have been in talks with PSG over Kolo Muani, and Turin was even considered as the striker's most likely destination.

But Juventus simply can't afford a deal right now, meaning the door is still open for Spurs.

According to the report, Tottenham are one of only a few clubs who Kolo Muani would be willing to join.

The Frenchman is keen to come to the Premier League, with the possibility of joining Manchester United also on the radar, should they be able to move on Marcus Rashford.

Spurs are 'active' in their pursuit according to the information, and Daniel Levy has very good relations with PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Randal Kolo Muani arrival could be bad news for Richarlison

Of course, were Spurs able to land a deal for Kolo Muani, it would be interesting to see how Postecoglou would set up his team.

Richarlison is just returning from injury, and there would seemingly then be no avenue into the starting eleven for the Brazilian if further competition was added.

Tottenham could sell Richarlison because of his fitness issues according to reports, a forward who has rarely been available to Postecoglou for an extended period of time.

Should he arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, perhaps Kolo Muani could potentially play out wide, meaning Dominic Solanke would keep his central spot.

It's all fairly hypothetical for now, but perhaps Son Heung-min could even be at risk of losing his starting role too, were Spurs to conclude a big deal this month.
