The Arne Slot era at Liverpool has started very well it must be said.

Liverpool sit second in the Premier League at the moment, and they have won four of their first five Premier League games.

The Reds are playing some great football at the moment, and there is a feeling of harmony behind the scenes.

It's too early to say whether or not Liverpool are better under Slot than they were under Klopp last season, but it's fair to say that a few players have improved.

Ryan Gravenberch looks reborn at the moment, while Luis Diaz is playing the best football of his life.

Liverpool believe Ibrahima Konate has improved

According to The Athletic, there are four players at Liverpool that the club internally believe have improved this season.

Gravenberch and Diaz are obvious improvers, while Liverpool also believe that Ibrahima Konate and Dominik Szoboszlai's levels have surged.

Konate wasn't actually in the starting XI to begin the season for Liverpool as Jarrell Quansah got the nod, but after the youngster was substituted at half time against Ipswich, Konate has been first-choice.

Liverpool have only conceded one league goal so far this season, and Konate has been a massive part of that.

Ibrahima Konate is in incredible form

Liverpool believe that Konate has improved this season, and they're not wrong.

The Frenchman has finally established himself as one of the most important players in Liverpool's backline after struggling for form and fitness in recent seasons.

Of course, we're only five games into the season, so things could change quickly as injuries have previously plagued Konate, but the early signs are very promising to say the least.

Konate has really stepped up this season, and the £36m man could well play a key role in a title push for Liverpool this term.
