Newcastle United haven’t had a good time of things on the transfer front in recent times, but they may just have the opportunity to put things right.

Eddie Howe has done incredibly well considering the fact he was let down in the transfer window, though it hasn’t always made for pleasant viewing.

Newcastle sit third on goal difference having enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season, with three wins and a draw from four games.

One thing that has helped is the return of Sandro Tonali, who Alan Shearer has predicted to play a big part.

As well as Tonali, Harvey Barnes has been an unsung hero, scoring two goals in his last two games. A starting place is surely coming his way.

However, Eddie Howe appears to already be looking at ways to strengthen his side…

Newcastle want to sign exciting player who Dan Ashworth wants

Dan Ashworth left Newcastle to take up a role at Manchester United, and it now appears as if he’s set to go head-to-head with his old club over a potential transfer.

Howe has always been open to giving younger players a chance, and Tino Livramento and Lewis Miley are perfect examples of this.

And, it appears as if Newcastle have their eyes on another youthful addition.

According to Give Me Sport, Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling is on Newcastle’s radar.

Interestingly, Manchester United could attempt to turn Dibling’s head as, despite opting against making a move at this stage, sporting director Dan Ashworth did when he was leading Newcastle United’s recruitment drive and has remained a big fan of the teenager.

However, it won’t be easy as he’s expected to sign a new deal at Southampton.

Who is Tyler Dibling?

Tyler Dibling caught the eyes of Premier League fans during Southampton vs Manchester United in what was his first start of the season, which takes his tally to six appearances.

Interestingly, the Southampton youngster has been tipped to be the next Jack Grealish (as per The Sun) after giving Diogo Dalot a run for his money at St Mary’s.

Dibling is built like a far more senior player, making him a nightmare for defenders to wrestle off the ball and the fact he has his socks round his ankles makes it easy to understand the Grealish comparison.

He’s just 18 years of age and English, so the fee it could take to sign the winger could be substantial, especially if he ends up putting pen to paper on a new deal.
