Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani in recent weeks.
With the January transfer window now open, the Premier League quintet could be tempted to scout out reinforcements for the second half of the season.
Title-chasing Arsenal have long been linked with a new No. 9, while Tottenham could potentially look for cover for Dominic Solanke as they look to get back up the table.
Aston Villa are said to be in the market for a versatile forward, while Manchester City and Manchester United could do with attacking reinforcements to save their respective seasons.
French outlet L’Equipe has now provided an update on the Kolo Muani situation, including how much PSG are expected to demand for their player over the coming weeks.
PSG set to demand £50m for Randall Kolo Muani amid Arsenal, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Manchester United links
According to L’Equipe, Villa have now entered the race to sign Kolo Muani, joining the likes of Man United, Tottenham, AC Milan, Juventus, RB Leipzig, and Bayern Munich.
It’s understood that the Villans have made an enquiry for the attacker, and PSG are set to demand in the region of €60million (£50million) for the £200k-a-week forward.
A loan with an option to make the move permanent would also be accepted, added the report, while the Bundesliga is seen as Kolo Muani’s most likely destination as it stands.
Kolo Muani was offered to English clubs by intermediaries in October, with TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey confirming that Man City are also in pursuit.
Man City feel as if the Frenchman would enhance the options available to Pep Guardiola in the second half of the season and beyond.
Meanwhile, Villa are also in pursuit of Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen.
What Kolo Muani could bring to the Premier League
The official Bundesliga website compared Kolo Muani to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry last year.
‘Much like Kolo Muani, legendary France striker Henry started his career by impressing with his pace and trickery out wide before being repurposed as a centre-forward,’ they wrote.
‘Both players also clock in around the 6ft 2in mark and cut very similar, rangy figures.
‘Kolo Muani also has a languid dribbling style and immense turn of speed that were hallmarks of Henry’s game – especially at a young age.
‘He bears similar strength on the ball and a cheekiness to his play that will leave Bundesliga defenders both in his wake and cutting frustrated figures.’
Meanwhile, France teammate Matteo Guendouzi told Telefoot in November last year: “Randal, he has the qualities. A confident Randal is one of the best strikers in Europe.”
Guendouzi added, as per Le10 Sport: “He’s a top player, a top guy with a great mentality. I’m not worried about him, he has the mental strength. At some point, it will turn in his favour.”
