Behind the scenes at Newcastle United, plans are already being drawn out for the Janaury transfer window.

Newcastle are keen on signing Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, who is also of interest to Premier League rivals Chelsea.

On the outgoing front, Callum Wilson is being linked with Fulham and Brentford as he considers a mid-season departure.

Now, it’s just come to light, that another Newcastle first-teamer is weighing up a Janaury exit.

Miguel Almiron could leave Newcastle in January

According to GiveMeSport, Newcastle United winger Miguel Almiron is set to explore an exit from the club in Janaury and there’s a ‘serious possibility’ he could be sold.

Almiron has played just two minutes of Premier League football this season after falling down the pecking order under Eddie Howe.

The 30-year-old will consider offers from the MLS and the Saudi Pro League and it’s thought Newcastle are open to sanctioning his sale.

The Tynesiders remain keen on Marc Guehi, who is valued at £75m, so they’ll be eager to raise funds through player sales to facilitate the deal.

Almiron was linked to Fulham in the summer transfer window and Newcastle were looking for offers in the region of £30m.

Indeed, no suitor was willing to pay that so if they are to offload the Paraguayan in Janaury, they’ll need to lower their valuation significantly.

Perhaps a figure closer to £15m would be fair business.
