Arsenal had a pretty quiet summer transfer window.

The Gunners made three exceptional additions in Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino and Raheem Sterling, who joined on deadline day.

There was some movement out of the door, too, as Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah both departed after graduating through the Hale End academy.

Ahead of the Janaury transfer window, rumours are already starting to surface as Arsenal eye Inter defender Yann Bisseck.

There’s also been some high-profile interest from the continent in one of Mikel Arteta’s first-teamers.

Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli interested in Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu

Inter have been keeping tabs on Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu over the last few weeks.

Now, according to The Sun, Juventus and Napoli have joined the race to sign Tomiyasu ahead of the January transfer window.

It’s understood Arsenal would be willing to sanction his sale if an offer of around £25m arrives for the 25-year-old.

Arteta has already accepted that he may lose Tomiyasu mid-season, though, he’s well-stocked in that area.

Ben White is the first-choice right-back and with Jurrien Timber now back from injury, he’s thought to be second choice on the right-hand side.

So, Tomiyasu has slipped down the pecking order and it makes sense for all parties to move him on in the next window.

Inter Milan are in pole position

As it stands, Inter Milan are leading the race to sign Tomiyasu ahead of their Serie A rivals.

The Italian giants have made the Japan international a priority target, so their interest is expected to be formalised as soon as the window opens.

Tomiyasu is open to the idea of a return to Italy.
