Report: Tottenham showing interest in £25m wonderkid who Arsenal scouted numerous times last season

Tottenham Hotspur are now set to return to Hotspur Way over the coming days to begin their pre-season preparations.

Ange Postecoglou and co will be welcoming a new couple of new faces to north London with Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray joining up with the squad.

It has not exactly been an electric start to the summer window from Tottenham, but the Lilywhites have been decisive when it comes to exits.

But fans will want to hear about potential further arrivals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having now brought in Gray and Timo Werner.

And it is now being suggested that Spurs are showing an interest in a defender who Arsenal have been scouting over the 2023/24 campaign.

Tottenham eyeing £25m wonderkid who Arsenal have scouted

Spurs went into the summer transfer window knowing they needed to address their options at full-back.

Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie nailed down the starting spots on either side of the defence.

However, their alternatives Postecoglou has available did not exactly impress in their absence last season which has seen Gray arrive as a versatile option capable of filling in at right-back.

But it seems Spurs are now turning their attention to the other side of the pitch having allowed Ryan Sessegnon to leave as a free agent.

According to Pianeta Lecce, Tottenham are one of the clubs who are showing an interest in the £25m-rated left-back Patrick Dorgu.

Spurs are said to have been following the Danish defender for a number of months now with Liverpool also keen on the 19-year-old.

However, it is Arsenal who have also shown their interest in the defender having sent their scouts to watch him multiple times last season.

Patrick Dorgu would provide Tottenham another versatile option

Gray is arriving at Tottenham as a midfielder with the ability to drop back into the right-back position if needed.

However, Spurs could bring in Dorgu as a versatile full-back who has shown he is capable of playing on both sides of the defence.

This could provide Postecoglou with the perfect option this summer having also been labeled as a ‘wonderkid‘ by journalist Colin Millar.

However, there may be one issue when it comes to the 19-year-old with the report claiming he is ready to say yes if Arsenal make their move.
