West Ham United are actively searching for a replacement for Julen Lopetegui, who looks set to become the fourth Premier League manager to be sacked this season after Steve Cooper, Russell Martin and Gary O’Neil.
TBR Football understands that West Ham have spoken to Paulo Fonseca about replacing the Spaniard, who was recently given the marching orders by AC Milan. Massimiliano Allegri was keen on West Ham as his next destination, as TBR Football revealed in December.
The Hammers are having a season to forget, placed 14th and having won just three out of their last 10 league games.

West Ham are also sitting just seven points above the drop zone, with tough tests against Fulham, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Brentford awaiting them in their next five league fixtures.
West Ham held talks with former PSG boss Christophe Galtier
TBR Football have been informed that Graham Potter spoke to West Ham on Monday, who is considered the favourite to take the reins from Lopetegui until the remainder of the season. Now, The Independent have provided an update about the Irons’ managerial situation as Julen Lopetegui nears the sack.
The report has stated that West Ham have held talks with former Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier, who is currently managing Qatari club Al-Duhail.
It has been reported that the East London side also spoke to Sergio Conceicao, whose spell at AC Milan has recently begun.
Tottenham were linked with Christophe Galtier as well as they were on the lookout for a successor to Antonio Conte.
The 58-year-old’s standout achievement remains masterminding a Ligue 1 triumph over PSG during his time at Lille and one of the biggest shocks French football has ever witnessed as he ended their seven-year reign as champions.
At the time, Lille managed to trump the Parisians when they were managed by Mauricio Pochettino, whose side featured superstars such as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Marco Verratti.
West Ham manager target Christophe Galtier told he fits Premier League football
Speaking to Sky Sports in June 2021, Luis Campos, who worked alongside Christophe Galtier claimed that the French tactician has all the tools to succeed in the Premier League.
“Christophe has all the qualities to coach in England, technically he is very astute and is extremely detailed in his planning when preparing a team.”
Luis Campos added that Christophe Galtier’s 4-4-2 setup would also suit the Premier League, considering it is a tactical setup that is traditionally associated with the English game.
“He likes a 4-4-2 system, which would fit with the Premier League and he is a fantastic motivator in the dressing room.”
“He likes to build a side with quality and youth, he is someone that can develop a team ethic, and he is also a fantastic human being.”
But TBR Football revealed last month that Graham Potter had agreed joining West Ham and he looks the likeliest to take the job now.
