Arsenal will hope to finally end their long wait for the Premier League title this season after falling just short over the past two years.

The Gunners are a million miles away from how they were when Mikel Arteta took the reins back in 2019.

Back then, Arsenal were languishing in mid-table and even finishing in the top four was a bridge too far for them.

Arteta embarked on a major rebuilding job at N5, showing a level of ruthlessness that was unappreciated and even mocked at the time.

In hindsight, this was absolutely essential, because it has led to where Arsenal are now, namely fighting for the Premier League title.

The Gunners’ dressing room now boasts world-class players that have the right talent and attitude, and expiring contracts are no longer the norm.

The Evening Standard has now published an in-depth article entitled "Mikel Arteta's Arsenal evolution: the next phase", in which they discuss how the Gunners plan to dethrone Manchester City.

One section of the article talks about Arsenal’s recruitment, and what agents have been saying about the Gunners when it comes to their clients potentially moving to N5.

New signings ‘stunned’ by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta

It’s great news for Arsenal and fans, because the consensus among agents seems to be that the Gunners now have ‘incomparable’ pulling power.

Arteta does his homework on players to the point that prospective new signings’ heads will invariably be turned after they’ve spoken to the manager.

‘Arsenal’s pulling power is incomparable to where it was when Arteta took charge,’ said the report.

‘New signings have been seduced by the level of detail in Arteta’s pitch and stunned at the depths he has gone to understand their careers.

‘Among agents, there is an increasing belief that once Arteta gets players in the room, they do not want to play for anyone else.’

Arsenal a great place for footballers to be

As with all markets, the transfer market operates on many different levels, and to recruit and retain the very best players, the club needs to be operating at the very highest level.

Not only does the club need to be competing for the highest honours and offer great salaries, but the dressing room needs to be highly competitive and, at the same time, harmonious.

In addition, the coaches need to be of the highest level, with experience in proving to players that they’ll be taken care of, that they’ll get game time, and that they’ll have all the tools to prosper and improve.

Based on what agents are now saying about Arsenal, they’ve got all these things down to a tee now.
