Report: Why Benjamin Sesko's stance over Arsenal move could change this month
Today at 07:17 AM
Arsenal have just been told that Benjamin Sesko’s stance over leaving RB Leipzig could change this month if one thing were to happen.
Arsenal tried to sign Sesko in the summer, however, the striker opted to remain in Germany for another season.
The Gunners didn’t manage to get another striker in the summer and their failure to do so is costing them big time this season.
But now they could have the chance to put that right with the latest update on the Slovenian striker who has been flying in the Bundesliga.
Benjamin Sesko could be open to leaving RB Leipzig this month
Benjamin Sesko wants to finish the season at RB Leipzig, however, that could change if the striker was to receive the right offer from the right club, according to the Athletic.
Arsenal remain interested in the striker and have been told by now could be the moment to test the waters again over a move for the 21-year-old.
The North London club have just lost Gabriel Jesus to an ACL injury and Mikel Arteta has spoken about the possibility of making a move for a striker in the wake of the Brazilian’s bad news.
Arteta told the media: “We have very clear ideas of the players that we want, yes. It was before Gabi and it was with Gabi injured right now and we have to wait and see how things develop.”
What other strikers could Arsenal target?
Dusan Vlahovic is a player Arsenal have shown interest in and will need to be monitored now with Randal Kolo Muani joining the Old Lady.
Napoli are open to offers for Victor Osimhen this month with the striker having a strong season on loan at Galatasaray.
Arsenal have a growing interest in Viktor Gyokeres, as per reports, although it’s likely that the Swede will only be available in the summer.
Meanwhile, Gyokeres’ Swedish compatriot Alexander Isak seems an unrealistic target at this stage.
