Tottenham striker Richarlison has responded on social media after being asked to return to his former club Everton.

The 27-year-old came off the bench at half-time in Spurs’ 3-2 loss to Everton (19 January) and he scored his first goal of the season in the 92nd minute.

The Brazilian forward has missed large chunks of the season so far, only appearing off the bench in seven league matches this season.

In a post on Instagram from an Everton fan account, the caption reads “Just bring him home.”

In a surprise move, Richarlison liked the post and responded with two blue lovehearts, perhaps indicating that he might be open to a return to Goodison Park in the future.

Everton look to start fresh with David Moyes in charge

Everton found themselves 3-0 up before half-time against Spurs thanks to goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Iliman Ndiaye and an own-goal from youngster Archie Gray.

The Lilywhites were able to claw one back, thanks to the ball bouncing kindly in to the path of Dejan Kulusevski.

Wonderkid Mikey Moore was then able to set up Richarlison as he scored what would turn out to be just a consolation goal.

The result moved Everton four points ahead of the relegation zone and the result was the first win that the Toffee’s have had since beating Wolves 4-0 on 4 December.

Moyes’ return has rejuvenated a team that was struggling and had only won three league matches before his arrival.

Despite the Everton fan’s desire to see Richarlison return to his old stomping ground, a deal is unlikely to happen any time soon, but the Blues could be about to sign Jakub Moder.

Moyes could be about to receive another attacking option, in the form of Ernest Nuamah, who Paul Robinson exclusively told Football Insider, would likely join the club on loan initially.

In other news, Jordan Pickford sent a message to Everton fans after a “massive” development.
