Rodrigo Muniz responded to a message from Raul Jimenez on social media with the two strikers battling to start for Fulham in the Premier League.
Muniz has been forced to play second fiddle to Jimenez for long stretches of the season, thanks to the Mexican’s rejuvenated form.
The Brazilian striker had a flash of form last year that led to him being linked with a move to Man United, but Jimenez has been favoured by Marco Silva as Fulham chase European qualification.
However, following Mexico’s result on Thursday (20 March), Muniz sent a message to his teammate online.
Raul Jimenez celebrates CONCACAF semi-final win with Mexico
Jimenez scored both goals as Mexico beat Canada to make it to the final of the CONCACAF Nations League.
The Fulham striker will undoubtedly feature for his side when they take on Panama – who caused a shock upset in their win over the USA – in the final on Monday (24 March).
Jimenez posted a series of images of himself in action against Canada on Instagram after the game, captioned: “Gran esfuerzo equipo, este es el camino. Vamos México”, which translates to: “Great effort team, this is the way to go. Come on Mexico”.
Muniz then commented: “Aulass” with two fire emoji’s, which translates to: “Class”, showing support for his club teammate.
Fulham set for busy summer trying to keep Antonee Robinson and Marco Silva
Football Insider Verdict
Most teams and fans spend the build-up to the summer transfer window idealising potential recruits they can make.
For the Cottagers, this summer will be about maintaining the stars that have pushed them into contention for European football.
With Ange Postecoglou potentially on his way out at Tottenham, Marco Silva has been identified as a potential replacement for the troubled Australian.

Losing the influential Portuguese manager would be a devastating blow for the London based side, who have been revitalised under his stewardship.
Another concerning development for Fulham fans is the interest in Antonee Robinson.
The left-back pulled out of the USA squad due to an injury, but his 10 assists in the Premier League this season has led to speculation he may join Man United or Liverpool in the coming transfer window.
