'Sean Dyche sack to impact Everton transfer window'

Everton transfer plans will be impacted if they sack manager Sean Dyche imminently, The Athletic reports.
Dyche is poised to be sacked by new Everton owners, the Friedkin Group (TFG), after a poor start to the season.
TFG had been hoping that the former Burnley manager would have been able to stabilise results whilst they figured out their sporting strategy, but that has not happened and the Toffees are on a five game run without a win.
Everton are still having to be cautious with profitability and sustainability rules (PSR), and sacking their manager now would eat into the money they could spend on new signings in the winter transfer window.
The Toffees are also still searching for a new CEO, but that will not prohibit TFG from making a decision on Dyche’s future.
Despite the long-term concerns around the club’s finances, TFG recognise the weaknesses within the current Everton squad and the need for investment in the transfer window to secure the club’s Premier League status.

If Everton make a move, allowing Dyche an input on transfers now would be be a potential problem for an incoming manager, especially if their style of football is different to the English manager’s.

However, the new owners will also be conscious of the need to hire the right manager, Roma, another club owned by TFG, are on their third manager of the season and have had to lure Claudio Ranieri out of retirement as a stop-gap solution.
The list of potential replacements for Dyche is not a glamourous one, Graham Potter has already been claimed by West Ham, Fenerbahce’s Jose Mourinho has been linked and former Everton boss David Moyes is also viewed as a possible replacement.
TFG are known to respect Dyche greatly, especially after keeping them safe from relegation, despite a points deduction last season, but they recognise that performances have not been good enough this year.
Everton are due to move into their new stadium prior to the start of the 2025/26 season and the club will likely want to start their new era with a new head coach in place.
In other news, there has been a major update on Jack Harrison’s future at Everton.
