Tottenham capitulated at Brighton today and Jamie Carragher has taken to social media to suggest he was completely right about them.

Spurs threw a two-goal lead away at The Amex as Brighton came roaring back in the second half to win a crucial three points.

For Ange Postecoglou, it was a game that once again left him with more questions than answers and going into a two week break, he has plenty of work to do.

Of course, one of the criticisms of Postecoglou’s Spurs is that they’re too easy to play against and defensively, allow too many chances.

And after making that very point in an article for The Telegraph last weekend, Jamie Carragher has now harked back to that piece today.

Jamie Carragher aims dig at Tottenham after Brighton

Taking to social media platform X after seeing Brighton come back and beat Tottenham, Carragher was keen to note he was right in his article last week.

And in a short and simple post, he suggested he was indeed correct.

Carragher was spot on

Jamie Carragher is on a lot of football shows and says a lot of things, but you have to say he has been proven right on this one.

Tottenham today exactly what he was writing in his piece about being good for teams to play against and as soon as one goal went in, the writing was on the wall.

This is a big problem for Ange Postecoglou and his staff and they simply have to find a way of getting this ironed out of Tottenham’s DNA.

Right now, for all the exciting attacking football on display and Dominic Solanke obviously finding his feet at Spurs, they give up goals too easily.

Ange now has two weeks to work on things and if it doesn’t improve, then you can guarantee that the pressure will start to come.
