Whether it is this season or the next, Arsenal’s primary goal remains to win a major trophy under Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal’s need for a forward seems more and more evident game by game, especially since Bukayo Saka’s hamstring injury has sidelined him.

Jamie Carragher claimed Arsenal need an attacker and not necessarily even a traditional striker to come in and ease Saka’s burden.

Now, it seems like Arsenal agree with the notion that their attack needs to be upgraded, targeting one of the Premier League’s most in-form forwards.

Bryan Mbeumo on Arsenal’s summer transfer “shortlist”

Journalist Florian Plettenburg has revealed that Bryan Mbeumo is on Arsenal’s shortlist.

Mikel Arteta’s side are targeting the addition of a brand-new winger.

With that being the case, Arsenal are looking to sign the Brentford attacker in the summer of 2025.

Mbeumo was dubbed the ‘Mini Salah’ by Jason Cundy, as he is having yet another stormer of a season under Thomas Tuchel, scoring 13 goals in the league. Both Alexander Isak and Cole Palmer are level on league goals with the Cameroonian wideman.

Liverpool were targeting Mbeumo as well as he has assure Brentford fans on the pitch that there is life at the Gtech Community Stadium beyond Ivan Toney.

What Bryan Mbeumo has done this season no other Premier League player has

Arsenal’s wastefulness against Newcastle in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final was highlighted as the likes of Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Jurrien Timber missed gilt-edged chances in their 2-0 loss.

If the Gunners manage to get their hands on Mbeumo, they will be signing the most statistically clinical player in the Premier League.

No player in the English top-flight who has taken 30 plus shots has a better conversion rate (37.1%) than the Bees forward this season, according to WhoScored.com.

Mbeumo has outdone the likes of Chris Wood (33.3%), Yoane Wissa (27%), James Maddison (25%) and Mohamed Salah (24.3%) in this regard.
