'Since he's been here': £15m Tottenham player says he's been so much happier since Ange Postecoglou was hired

Ange Postecoglou isn't having the best of seasons at Tottenham so far.

Spurs are sitting mid-table in the Premier League at the moment, and results aren't going Tottenham's way as of late.

Postecoglou's style has been questioned recently, but the Australian continues to have the backing of his players.

Speaking on The Big Interview, Pape Matar Sarr has been discussing the impact Postecoglou has had on him at Tottenham, and he says that he feels so much more comfortable at Spurs since the Australian was hired.

Sarr has become a key player under Postecoglou, and the midfielder had nothing but good things to say about his manager.

Pape Matar Sarr is happier under Ange Postecogolu

The £15m man discussed how he feels about his manager.

Sarr said that he's become so much more comfortable at Tottenham since Postecoglou's arrival, and he's much happier.

"Only good things. Since he's been here I feel more comfortable," Sarr said.

"He likes football as I like to say. He also protects us and wants us to play beautiful football.

"We are doing a very good job with him and you can see it in the results. He's only been here for two years but the squad is solid, we win matches and we play good football and this is good for him and also for us it is important."

How did Sarr feel under Antonio Conte?

Sarr says that he feels happier under Postecoglou, and in the same interview, he discussed just how difficult his first season at Tottenham was under Antonio Conte.

Sarr said that he found it so hard to break into the team under Conte, and that he felt quite lonely in London at times.

"I don't like talking about my debut at Tottenham because it wasn't easy," Sarr said.

"It was a season full of tough times, but I was ready for that. I already told myself it wouldn't be easy. I had to work hard everytime I had the chance to play. Back at Metz I played every match, but at Tottenham it was complicated."

"I was alone in London it was difficult. There were times where I didn't feel good. It wasn't an excuse but if you mix all of this with what was happening on the pitch, things get very tough.

"From Metz to Tottenham it wasn't easy for me, but I knew at some point things would get better."

Conte did say he was a fan of Sarr during his time at Tottenham, but that wasn't reflected in gametime unfortunately.

The Italian barely picked Sarr, and, inevitably, that led to the midfielder feeling rather alienated.

Now, Sarr is a key player for Postecoglou and Tottenham, and that has led to the player being much more confident and that's refleting in his performances.

Sarr left Erling Haaland speechless earlier this week with his goal against Manchester City, and that's what the Senegalese star is capable of when he's happy and playing regularly.
