Arsenal find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation right now but even that won’t force them into making any signings they could regret.
Mikel Arteta was very selective about Arsenal‘s summer transfer window moves, which saw them bring in three players permanently and two on loan.
Riccardo Calafiori was one of the fresh faces drafted in to help the Gunners reach that next level, but he suffered an injury whilst away with Italy this past week and is now set to miss the North London derby.
Another signing who’s been even more unfortunate is Mikel Merino, who went down injured in training and is now set to be out for at least four more weeks.
More recently, Martin Odegaard’s injury has opened the eyes of many fans with Arteta’s midfield options now wearing thin.

Charles Watts addresses the Adrien Rabiot to Arsenal rumours
It has been claimed that Adrien Rabiot’s representatives have approached Arsenal, as well as many other clubs, about a potential move for the Frenchman.
However, the fact that he is demanding £220k per week is a massive stumbling block for any clubs potentially interested in his services.
When speaking on his YouTube channel, Charles Watts provided an update on Arsenal’s stance on Rabiot.
“I just don't see it, I mean if Arsenal wanted to bring in Rabiot they'd have brought in Rabiot by now. And the fact that no one else has is because they're obviously looking at the wages he's demanded and just thinking it's too much.
“Now Rabiot would have been offered to absolutely everyone. So far, Arsenal and no one else has gone near it yet and what Arsenal won't do now is if they didn't want him when everyone's fit, they're not gonna go and sign him just because everyone is injured.”
What is Adrien Rabiot’s situation?
The Frenchman is currently at a crossroads after leaving Juventus as a free agent.
Rabiot was linked with a move to Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, but a move never materialised and he now finds himself being offered to just about every club in Europe.
Arsenal need a central midfielder right now, but his wages make a potential deal impossible. When Merino and Odegaard return, he’s probably only good enough for the substitutes’ bench.
Only spending on players that Arteta really believes in has worked well for the Spaniard in recent years, so there’s no reason to change the approach now.
