Arsenal have started this season about as well as they could've wished to.
The Gunners are unbeaten in the Premier League, and they've scored a crucial Champions League victory over PSG as well.
Mikel Arteta's side have picked up where they left off last season, and so has Kai Havertz.
The German hit an incredible patch of form towards the end of the 2023/24 campaign, and that has carried through to this season.
Speaking to CBS, Bukayo Saka has been discussing Havertz's recent form, and he's spoken very highly of his Arsenal teammate.
Bukayo Saka praises Arsenal team-mate Kai Havertz
Saka had nothing but good things to say about Havertz.
The England international says he always thought that Havertz was an unbelievable player, and that everyone in the Arsenal dressing room has the same view.
“I’ve always thought Kai’s an unbelievable player,” says Saka. “Everyone in the dressing room did too. We’re so happy that he’s showing that. This season he has come out with even more confidence, I think he’s scored in almost every game.
“He’s going to score a lot of goals this season. He has a really good understanding around the box, when to attack it, and that’s why he gets a lot of chances and that’s why hopefully he’ll score a lot of goals.”
Havertz has proven people wrong
Saka says that everyone at Arsenal always knew how good Havertz was, but that wasn't the view in the wider footballing world.
Havertz was massively criticised last season as he got off to a slow start in north London, but now, the tables have completely turned.
The Arsenal star has recently been hailed as a super-intelligent player, and he's on an incredible goalscoring run at home, netting in each of his last seven matches at the Emirates.
There was a lot of talk in the summer about how Arsenal needed to sign a new striker, and while the Gunners did try to sign Benjamin Sesko, Havertz has ultimately proven that the solution to any attacking problems was right under their noses.
Arsenal will be looking to go one step further and win the Premier League title this season, and if they are to achieve their goals, Havertz will have a big part to play.
